     Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

    We have a challenging and rewarding position for a Director SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to join our team.


    Position Responsibilities:

    • Manage SEC and Technical Reporting Manager / Senior Manager
    • Manage the preparation of all SEC filings, including quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) periodic filings, related earnings release materials and investor presentations to ensure compliance with SEC rules and regulations, compliance with U.S. GAAP guidance and consistency across all communications
    • Review of quarterly financial statements including balance sheets, shareholder’s equity, and cash flow
    • Able to author / coordinate MD&A in SEC filings with minimal need for editing by CFO or Controller
    • Ensure complete and accurate supporting documentation of financial and other information used in external reporting, including SEC filings, earnings releases, and earnings release scripts
    • Establish and maintain close coordination with Corporate Development, Legal, Commercial, Marketing, R&D functional department heads, and FP&A to ensure proper input into internal and external financial reporting
    • Develop and maintain expert working knowledge and control of the Company’s SEC reporting application tool, Web-Filings
    • Ensure XBRL compliance
    • Work closely with the internal controls manager to monitor effectiveness of internal controls related to the financial reporting function to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
    • Stock Based Compensation accounting 
    • Monitor and ensure timely identification of evolving accounting guidance and potential impact on the company; provide interpretation and document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner
    • Review, author, update, and revise technical accounting memorandum 
    • Research accounting literature and apply technical standards to complex business transactions, including the areas of stock compensation, business combinations, debt restructuring, etc.., and communicate findings to senior management
    • Perform Going Concern, and annual impairment analysis of goodwill and evaluation of finite long-lived intangibles assets, as needed
    • Coordinate and manage Disclosure Committee meetings



    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
    • 10+ years public accounting and public company experience
    • 3-5 years with a Big4 CPA firm     preferred
    • International manufacturing public company experience 
    • Demonstrated success in process improvement
    • Flexibility to meet growing company needs
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines
    • Superior technical accounting skill
    • Strong work ethic
