    Fluidigm uses proprietary microfluidics technology to develop highly efficient genomics workflows for customers in a variety of industries including translational and clinical research, consumer genomics, and agriculture.

     

    Fluidigm is looking for an Senior Product Manager / Associate Director  to manage our qPCR-based molecular biomarker analysis business. This individual will manage on-market products as well as lead new platform and application development programs from inception to commercialization and beyond.  The successful candidate will work closely with all functional groups within our business to ensure we meet and exceed our technical, marketing, commercial and financial expectations.

    You Will:

    • Understand the dynamics, demands and opportunities within our target markets and translate these understandings into a pipeline of R&D and marketing activity.
    • Work with R&D, Sales, Market Development and senior management to develop and implement global product strategies within production genomics
    • Manage product lifecycle from requirements through development, commercialization, product iterations and obsolescence planning
    • Lead cross-functional teams to develop, commercialize, and market both new and existing production genomics products
    • Understand customer needs and translate them to customer and product requirements
    • Generate business and marketing plans that include key product messaging, positioning and pricing that will guide the evolution of our single-cell genomics business
    • Build close relationships with KOLs for collaborative opportunities, to achieve market goals of awareness and emerging trends
    • Conduct competitive analysis and positioning
    • Identify and define opportunities for partnerships to complete workflow offerings
    • Engage, motivate and inspire our global commercial teams to promote and sell our products
    • Support commercial activities including field, customer and support with information about the segment and product positioning
    • Monitor and report on emerging trends in the market and keep abreast of current research
    • Travel up to 25% internationally

    You Have:

    • Five (5)+  years of hands on experience with a PCR-based genomic instrument platform
    • Demonstrated understanding of Oncology, Immuno-oncology, and/or Immunology researcher needs
    • At least three (3) years’ experience in Product Management
    • Successfully lead cross-functional teams to commercialize new genomics products through the entire development cycle in an ISO13485-compliant environment (or similar).
    • Ability to influence across the organization at all levels
    • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and communication skills

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

     

    Bachelor's degree in science related field with 5 years of relevant experience with genomics platforms.  Experience in product management, marketing, sales, product development, and/or field support of genomics products.

     

     Desirable: Advanced science degree or MBA.

     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
